5 exotic countries
We do not mean any extreme or especially dangerous destinations in which experienced travelers feel uncomfortable, to say nothing of beginners. Passion.ru talked with travel experts and found out what exotic open spaces should look to those who have been only in the near abroad and really dream (but are afraid) to visit something non-standard and memorable.
Let’s start right away with heavy “artillery”. Parents scared you too when you were a child, saying that if you don’t obey, they will send you to Africa, where danger lies in wait at every step? Many people, remembering their childhood fears, never dare to visit this amazing country, and in vain. No, vigilance, of course, you should not lose, but, however, as in any other place on the map. Travelers, who first arrived in Tanzania, are encouraged to talk about how they watched the first rays of the sun, being directly in the crater of the Ngorongoro volcano, extinct more than 2.5 million years ago, or how they met a herd of graceful antelopes, wayward zebras, peculiar hyenas, royal leopards, amazing flamingos and, of course, lions. And after all the words of admiration for contemplating the African nature are over, you can go straight to Masai to see how and what this tribe lives today, to learn welcome dance and to understand what real “African passions” are.
If you at least once managed to visit Peru, then, for sure, Bolivia will not seem so exotic to you. But, unlike its “neighbor”, this country is the highest in the Southern Hemisphere, it is characterized by stunning landscapes, from which they are literally breathtaking and dizzy. If you still dare to visit Bolivia, get ready to admire the incredible lagoons inhabited by pink flamingos, learn to dance local dances, have fun with the local population during one of the colorful carnivals, make friends with cute alpacas, buy something from traditional dresses and souvenirs, as well as visit the salt desert of Uyuni. These impressions are quite enough for you to then proudly tell about them to your friends and relatives.
Unfortunately, many did not have a very good impression of this country, including due to the numerous bunkers and the Albanian mafia. Although, in fairness, it is worth noting that today it is a very hospitable and safe direction (the mafia, for example, has long since sunk into oblivion, so it is very comfortable to be here). Why go here? At least in order to see with your own eyes the incredibly azure sea, picturesque mountains, amazing nature, and in some places preserved cities of the Ottoman Empire.
This destination is perfect for those travelers who, after a couple of days of exhausting heat, begin to dream of comfortable coolness. Therefore, if you have a valid Schengen, then you can visit Iceland, more reminiscent of a fantasy scenery than a realistic country. What to do there? We recommend that you definitely take a walk through the fields with frozen lava, catch an iridescent rainbow over a waterfall, explore the glacier, visit the geysers soaring rapidly into the sky, and beaches with black volcanic sand and, if you’re lucky, see a whale with your own eyes and become numb with happiness next to such a beauty. And then, already sitting on the plane, regret that we had not decided before on this amazing trip. This, for example, happened with one acquaintance who married just a month ago and chose a place for a honeymoon. They argued for a long time and could not decide where, in fact, they want to start their already family trip. As a result, the man insisted on Iceland, and his wife, having visited there once, promised that they would return there without fail, but now with a large composition.
If you are a fan of Asia, then for sure you will like Myanmar, which has recently become an increasingly popular destination. And despite the fact that in many parts of the country it is still not safe, if you follow special tourist routes, you can fully experience the special Asian flavor and imbue with local traditions and customs. In addition, experienced travelers recommend meeting a dawn in a balloon over a mystical Bagan, and then heading to Inle Lake and chatting with fishermen or, dressed up in a traditional Burmese costume, arrange a colorful photo shoot amid stunning cityscapes.
